Spinifex Health Service is governed by Paupiyala Tjarutja Aboriginal Corporation (PTAC), a not-for-profit organisation managed by a Board of Directors, and incorporated under the Corporations (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) Act 2006. Spinifex Health Service is the registered business name of PTAC's health service.

Spinifex Health Service is community controlled. We have a Clinical Governance Committee, comprising of our medical director, health service manager, health support systems officer, consultant RAN, Anangu healthworker and community member. This committee reports to the PTAC board, and provides much of the clinical direction and oversight of the health service.

Our Board supports the operations of Spinifex Health Service by providing direct input and advice from the community. Along with PTAC Board meetings, planning workshops are also convened with staff, Board and Health Committee members, to assist the health service develop and meet it's strategic objectives.
