HEALTH SERVICE MANAGER

Ros­ter: 8 weeks on, 2 weeks off
Reports To: CEO
Indus­tri­al Instru­ment: Nurs­es Award

 

  • As the Health Ser­vices Man­ag­er, you will over­see both strate­gic and oper­a­tional man­age­ment, imple­ment­ing SHS’s strate­gic plan under the guid­ance of the CEO and in con­sul­ta­tion with the Med­ical Direc­tor.

  • Your respon­si­bil­i­ties will include plan­ning, direct­ing, and coor­di­nat­ing dai­ly oper­a­tions, man­ag­ing resources with­in bud­get, and ensur­ing the deliv­ery of high-qual­i­ty pri­ma­ry health care to the community.

                                                                                                 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliv­er ser­vices aligned with strate­gic pri­or­i­ties and best practices. Main­tain rela­tion­ships with exter­nal agen­cies to opti­mize fund­ing and ser­vice delivery. Ensure RACGP accred­i­ta­tion and max­i­mize Medicare item claiming. Pre­pare and sub­mit finan­cial and per­for­mance reports. Man­age an after-hours on-call ros­ter for emergencies. Pro­mote Abo­rig­i­nal employ­ment and pro­fes­sion­al development. Adhere to Work Health & Safe­ty poli­cies and regulations.

                                                                                        WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

​

  • Under­stand­ing of com­pre­hen­sive pri­ma­ry health care and Abo­rig­i­nal com­mu­ni­ty-con­trolled health services. Expe­ri­ence in finan­cial man­age­ment and budgeting. Proven expe­ri­ence in man­ag­ing clin­i­cal teams and staff development. Strong inter­per­son­al and com­mu­ni­ca­tion skills. Com­pe­ten­cy in using account­ing, word pro­cess­ing, and email software. Abil­i­ty to trav­el and work in remote areas.

  • Cur­rent Nation­al Police Check and WA Work­ing with Chil­dren Check.

  • Aus­tralian cit­i­zen­ship, per­ma­nent res­i­den­cy, or appro­pri­ate work visa.

  • Valid man­u­al driver’s license.

​                                  We are inviting expression of interest for an innovative position from suitably qualified and experienced child health nurses.

This position includes original and innovative features:

  • 2 weeks onsite

  • 1 week off site (Work from Home)

  • 3 weeks off with, or at remote sites - engaging with stakeholders

  • 1 day / week remote support WFH
